Gnoppix 1.0 Notes

• Colin Barnhorst originally reported this OS as not working, defaulting to 24-bit color
• To fix this, David Sanders instructs:
  1. Boot until you get messed up screen (defaults to 24 bit color)
  2. Hit control-alt-backspace to get to a command prompt
  3. type: sudo vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf
  4. edit file to make 16 bit color the default, then save and exit
  5. type: startx
• Al-Hareth Biheiri reports that when using David Sanders' method, he had to press control-alt-F1 for step 2 to get to the command line
