1. Fdisk the partition before booting from cd. Make sure you allocate at least 2500meg disk, otherwise you get strange errors during install. It ran out of disk, but that is not what the errors implied.
2. Do a manual video card install, pick S3/Trio32, input 8meg ram, pick PS/2 mouse, then pick ImPS/2 mouse (intellimouse), then pick any video 640x up to 1280x, you can ONLY select 16-bit or less. I was not able to get 24-bit working even on 640x480.
3. Pick the SoundBlaster/16
